The majority of Los Leones are proud to be both Commandos and Royal Engineers. Formed in 1716, the corps helps keep the British Army in the field by providing engineering and technical support. Known as ‘Sappers’, Royal Engineers have served in all of the Army’s campaigns.
The Royal Engineers Association (REA) was originally founded in 1912 under the name The Royal Engineers Old Comrades Association. It acts as a link between service and retired members of the Corps.
Each year the association considers hundreds of requests for assistance from serving and retired personnel and their families.Their role is to provide support to those who have given so much and are in need whilst maintaining and promoting awareness of Corps traditions.
